Reading Comprehension on the Gmat is probably the area where most people struggle to show improvement. You will usually be given 4 short essays on a variety of topics such as social sciences, arts, business, and science. The writing styles are usually very dry and monotone. The only way you would actually read this material is if you were stuck on a desert island and there was nothing else to read. The key to mastering gmat reading comprehension is practice. I have read almost every Gmat Test prep resource out there. Most test prep companies teach you to outline or create road maps of the reading comprehension passages. Some even state that you should skim not read passages. None of these approaches are practical. You have to read the passages to do well on reading comprehension and there is simply not enough time to outline ideas. The key to mastering reading comprehension is to change the way we read. Amazingly, this only takes a couple of hours. You should be able to read 3 times faster with a 15% - 20% improvement in comprehension.
